Throughout your journey, you’ll experience—festival dances, traditional art workshops, mountain hikes, and even a hot‑stone bath—while soaking in the country’s unique blend of natural beauty and living heritage. Thimphu, Bhutan
Day 1: Arrival in Paro & Transfer to Thimphu
Arrive in Paro and transfer to Thimphu (1.5 hours). The journey offers stunning views of the Himalayas and a glimpse of the Tamchog Lhakhang temple. In Thimphu, visit the National Memorial Chorten, a significant Buddhist monument, and explore the local market.
Day 2: Thimphu & Thimphu Tshechu
Spend the day at the Thimphu Tshechu festival, held at Trashichhoedzong, the center of government and religion. The festival features mask dances and folk songs with deep cultural and religious significance. In the evening, explore Ka Ja Thorm, a vibrant market blending modern and traditional elements.
Day 3: Thimphu Cultural Exploration
Visit Choki Traditional Art School, which offers free art education to disadvantaged children. Experience traditional Bhutanese painting and live art demonstrations. Next, visit the Goldsmiths Workshop to see the production of traditional Bhutanese jewelry. Enjoy an authentic Bhutanese lunch at the 600-year-old Heritage Home in Babesa. In the afternoon, drive to Pangri Zampa monastery, where monks study Buddhist philosophy and astrology. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Punakha, Bhutan
Day 4: Thimphu to Punakha
After breakfast, visit the colossal Buddha Dordenma statue, which stands at 51.5 meters and houses 125,000 smaller Buddha statues. Drive to Punakha, stopping at Dochu-La Pass to admire the scenic views and prayer flags. En route, visit Chimi Lhakhang, the temple of fertility, and explore the nearby village. The rest of the day is free to explore Punakha.
Day 5: Punakha Exploration
Begin with a hike to Khamsum Yuelley Namgel Chorten, offering panoramic views of the Punakha Valley. Visit Punakha Dzong, a historic fortress at the confluence of two rivers, and cross the iconic Punakha Suspension Bridge. In the afternoon, explore Nobang and Talo villages, to experience rural Bhutanese life. Visit Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery, which houses a 14-foot bronze statue of Avalokiteshvara and offers insights into the lives of Buddhist nuns.

Bhumthang, Bhutan
Day 6: Punakha to Bhumthang
After breakfast, drive to Bhumthang, crossing the scenic Pelela Pass (3,300m). En route, visit Trongsa Dzong, a historic fortress and former seat of power. Continue to Bhumthang, stopping in Chumey to explore its fertile lands and renowned wool weaving tradition. The evening is at leisure to explore the town.
Day 7: Bhumthang Exploration
Begin with visits to Jambay Lhakhang, an ancient temple built in the 7th century, and Kurje Lhakhang, a sacred site with three temples dedicated to Guru Rinpoche. Explore Jakar Dzong, a picturesque fortress overlooking the Choekhor valley. After lunch, visit Tamshing Lhakhang, a temple founded by Terton Pema Lingpa, known for its ancient religious paintings. Spend the evening strolling through the local village.

Gangtey, Bhutan
Day 8: Bhumthang to Gangtey
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Gangtey, crossing lush valleys and rolling hills. Upon arrival, visit the stunning Gangtey Goempa, a historic monastery perched on a ridge with panoramic views. In the evening, take a leisurely walk through the picturesque Phobjikha Valley, known for its tranquil beauty and as a wintering ground for black-necked cranes.
Day 9: Gangtey Cultural Immersion
Start your day with a serene hike along the Gangtey Nature Trail, which winds through flower meadows, forests, and past traditional villages. Visit the secluded Khewang Lhakhang, a 15th-century monastery with a mystical lake legend, and participate in a traditional blessing and butter lamp lighting ceremony. In the evening, join the monks at the Nyingmapa school for a spiritual evening prayer session.

Paro, Bhutan
Day 10: Gangtey to Paro
After breakfast, drive to Paro, crossing the scenic Dochu La Pass. Upon arrival, visit a traditional farmhouse for a cooking session and archery experience. Explore Ta Dzong (National Museum) and Rinpung Dzong, a stunning fortress-monastery. End the day with a leisurely walk through Paro's vibrant market streets.
Day 11: Paro & Tiger's Nest Hike
Begin with the iconic hike to Taktshang Monastery (Tiger's Nest), a sacred cliffside temple with breathtaking views. On the return, visit the ancient Kyichu Lhakhang. In the afternoon, enjoy a traditional hot stone bath for relaxation. The evening features a cultural performance and a traditional Bhutanese dinner.
Day 12: Depart Paro
After breakfast, transfer to Paro Airport for your departure flights.

Below you will find two rate sets. One for 6 - 9 passengers; the other for 10+ passengers. Please plan on the price being the one for 6 - 9 passengers; however, Shari will be aiming for 10 passengers. If 10 passengers is reached, the final price will be reduced accordingly.
