Frequently Asked Questions
Travelling solo is always welcome on board. You'll meet new friends and you’ll be in small groups for your excursions, unless you choose to wander on your own. You won't be lonely!
Pricing is based on double occupancy, though. Single supplement fees apply as follows:
Regular Single Rate - 150% for all standard staterooms or 200% for Suites.
Solo Promo: 125% for Category D & E, based on availability.
Yes. We’ll arrange information sessions about the trip and a meet and greet for the group, virtually or in person, when it is safe to do so.
At this time, it is unknown if proof of Covid-19 vaccination, or proof of negative PCR tests will be required for travel. The rules can vary by country and by company. You may be required to show proof of vaccination or negative PCR test prior to boarding, arriving in destination or return to Canada. Costs to meet these requirements will be your sole responsibility.
IMPORTANT: If you do not wish to have a Covid-19 vaccine, or are unable to for health reasons, you should not book a vacation at this time as it is unknown if vaccinations will be a requirement of travel.
At Love the Way You Travel we have a Planning & Support fee for all clients. With a Nova Scotia Retirees Travel Club group booking, your fee is only $150 + tax per couple or $100 + tax per solo traveller.
This fee includes: individual consultations, insurance assistance, advice on Covid-19 regulations, pre and post tour arrangements and flight assistance. It also includes 24/7 in destination emergency service, for your peace of mind while travelling.
Yes. Insurance protects you against the unexpected and unknown. It gives you peace of mind and financial security for things that arise after you book your trip. For example: It may cover cancellation due to your own illness, death in the family, burglary or fire of your home. In the case of medical, it may cover your hospital stay, tests and surgeries if you become ill or have an accident while you are away.
We strongly recommend having travel insurance. Cancellations, interruptions and medical bills can be extremely costly and need to be paid up front, out of pocket if you do not have proper insurance.
Great! We take insurance seriously and want to ensure you know what is included and what is excluded. We’ll provide you with questions to ask your current insurance company to make sure you are properly covered for cancellation, interruption and medical. If you find you have medical insurance but still need cancellation and interruption insurance, we can do a quote on that portion, as needed.
Absolutely! Discounts vary depending on loyalty level and range from free category upgrades to up to $240 off per stateroom. Let us know you are a past guest when booking and we’ll make sure to get the best value for you.
Arriving in destination a few days early to get over jet lag and explore is a wonderful way to extend your vacation. We can arrange pre and post packages with the cruise line or build a customized add-on package including flights, transfers and day tours for your extended trip.
For group trips, airfare is best arranged together. If you book the group flights offered, you will receive complimentary airport to hotel or ship transfers, as well as hotel or ship to airport transfers.
Yes, you can. Please note, changes, cancellations and interruptions must be handled by your loyalty program call centre. We will not be able to assist with any inquiries or interruptions for flights booked elsewhere.
If you're ready to have an amazing vacation to look forward to in 2022, this itinerary will be a great adventure for you to lesser-visited destinations on the Lower Danube.
